KIEV, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine received 2.8 billion euros (about 3.23 billion U.S. dollars) from the European Union (EU) to support social and humanitarian needs, the country's Finance Ministry said Monday.
The funding, issued as the seventh tranche under the EU's Ukraine Facility instrument, was directed to the country's budget.
To secure the disbursement, Ukraine met 11 indicators, covering reforms in public administration, economic policy, energy, digitalization and the rule of law.
So far, Kiev has attracted 29.5 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility instrument, a support program worth about 50 billion euros covering the 2024-2027 period.
